DevOps Engineer – Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to automate workflows, manage infrastructure, and optimize software delivery. The ideal candidate will work with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation to ensure reliable and efficient application deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate software build, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Monitor application performance, system availability, and infrastructure health.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and production issues.
• Apply security best practices and manage access controls.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and IT teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Understanding of Linux and operating system fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms.
• Understanding of Docker, networking, and deployment workflows.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Understanding of cloud security, networking, and system administration.
• Familiarity with logging, incident management, and system reliability practices.
